U2 für Golden Globe Award nominiert
Heute wurden die Nominierungen für die Golden Globe Awards bekanntgegeben. U2 sind in der Kategorie "Best Original Song in a Motion Picture" mit The Hands That Built America nominiert worden. U2 steuern diesen Titel zu Martin Scorses Film "Gangs of New York" bei, der insgesamt fünfmal nominiert wurde. Die Konkurrenten von U2 in der Kategorie "Best Original Song" sind Madonna, Paul Simon, Bryan Adams / Hans Zimmer und Eminem. Die Golden Globe Awards werden am 19. Januar verliehen, sie gelten als einer der wichtigsten Filmpreise weltweit und als Indikator für den Oscar.
