Das Interview wurde bereits Anfang Juni nach Bono's Rede beim "World Newspaper Congress" in Dublin durchgeführt. Bono spricht bei dem Interview über seinen Engagement in Sachen AIDS und Afrika, Politiker, seinen Bezug zur Oper und über U2. Bono: "The thing that excites me the most is being in U2. We are getting closer to making the music we have always wanted to make. There is a difference between the music that you hear in your head and what you put on a CD.
