Studioalbum von U2 und das erste Album mit neuem Material seit neun Jahren. Das Album wurde an verschiedenen Orten aufgenommen und von Jacknife Lee produziert. Die zwölf Songs beschäftigen sich unter anderem mit Spiritualität, Freundschaft, Freiheit und dem Durchhalten in dunklen Zeiten. Musikalisch soll das Album experimentellere Seiten der Band mit direkterem Songwriting verbinden. Inhaltlich steht *Carnaval De Luz* im Zusammenhang mit den beiden Anfang 2026 überraschend veröffentlichten EPs *Days of Ash* und *Easter Lily*. Als verbindendes Stück wird der abschließende Song *Torn* genannt, ein Duett von Bono mit Dolly Parton. Der Song wurde von U2, Dolly Parton und Johnny McDaid geschrieben. Weitere Beteiligte sind Brian Eno, der an *Go (Carnaval De Luz)*, *The Greatest Show on Earth* und *Can't Stop Us Now* mitgeschrieben und Synthesizer beigesteuert hat, Martin Garrix als Co-Autor von *Glorify*, Daniel Lanois mit Pedal Steel auf *Torn* sowie Ryan Tedder mit zusätzlicher Produktion auf *Silencio*. **Editionen** - Amazon: [KLICK\*](https://www.amazon.de/s?k=U2+Carnaval+de+Luz&tag=u2tour09-21) - JPC: [KLICK\*](https://partner.jpc.de/go.cgi?pid=431&cpid=1&wmid=cc&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jpc.de%2Fs%2Fu2%2Bcarnaval%2Bde%2Bluz) - Carnaval De Luz - Standard CD € 19,99 - [KLICK\*](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0HKLSVYDF/?tag=u2tour09-21) - Carnaval De Luz - Standard CD + Cassette € 29,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited CD (u2.com members exclusive) € 19,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/products/carnaval-de-luz-limited-edition-u2-com-fan-club-cd?ls=NTlfysVVn_QKYjObJieUIu2llils2O0Q0O8B7217DS5Z2gq0260923) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited CD (Amazon exclusive) € 19,99 - [KLICK\*](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0HKL2RMXC/?tag=u2tour09-21) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Deluxe CD Boxset € 30,00 - [KLICK](https://u2.universal-music.de/) - Carnaval De Luz - Standard Black Vinyl € 35,00 - [KLICK\*](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0HKLVCQFH/?tag=u2tour09-21) - Carnaval De Luz - Powder Rose Pink Vinyl € 39,99 - [KLICK](https://www.roughtrade.com/de/product/u2/carnaval-de-luz) - Carnaval De Luz - Dark Blue Marble Vinyl € 37,99 - [KLICK](https://www.bravado.de/collections/u2) - Carnaval De Luz - Retail Exclusive Gold Doppel-Vinyl € 37,99 - [KLICK\*](https://partner.jpc.de/go.cgi?pid=431&cpid=1&wmid=cc&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jpc.de%2Fjpcng%2Fpoprock%2Fdetail%2F-%2Fart%2Fu2-carnaval-de-luz%2Fhnum%2F12939284) - Carnaval De Luz - Amber Translucent Vinyl ([u2.com](http://u2.com) members exclusive) € 40,00 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/products/carnaval-de-luz-limited-edition-u2-com-fan-club-amber-translucent-vinyl?ls=NTlfysVVn_QKYjObJieUIu2llils2O0Q0O8B7217DS5Z2gq0260923) - Carnaval De Luz - Red Marble Vinyl (Barnes & Noble exclusive) € 40,00 - [KLICK](https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/carnaval-de-luz-red-marble-vinyl-u2/1151449097?ean=0881061127024) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Deluxe Vinyl Boxset € 100,00 - [KLICK\*](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0HKLL583W/?tag=u2tour09-21) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Deluxe Vinyl Boxset + Cassette € 109,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Standard Black Vinyl + Standard CD € 49,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Dark Blue Marble Vinyl + Cassette € 47,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Standard Black Vinyl + Cassette € 44,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Deluxe CD Boxset + Cassette € 39,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Standard Black Vinyl + Standard CD + Cassette € 64,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Blu-ray €25,00 - [KLICK](https://u2.universal-music.de/) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Cassette € 14,99 - [KLICK](https://u2.universal-music.de/) - Carnaval De Luz - Limited Edition Blu-ray + Cassette € 34,99 - [KLICK](https://shopeu.u2.com/) ## Credits **Produziert von:** Jacknife Lee **Zusätzliche Produktion:** Ryan Tedder auf „Silencio“ **Mitwirkende:** Brian Eno, Martin Garrix, Daniel Lanois, Dolly Parton, Johnny McDaid **Label:** Island Records
