Kommentar

Am Ende von Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own zitiert Bono zweimal die Zeile "I Didn't Come Down The Liffey In A Bubble" (Titel einer Soloshow von Gavin Friday aus dem Jahr 2003) und widmet damit den Song an diesem Abend nicht seinem Vater, sondern Gavin Friday und dessen Vater, der kurz zuvor gestorben war.

Konzertbericht von Patrick the almost Saint

Hallo Collegen U2-Fans,

Weiter in English uber Gestern des 16-07-05 in Amsterdam Arene, Meinen Deutsch ist nich zo best.

Yesterday was great in the Amsterdam Arena with U2. It was 13 year ago since I saw them in the Westfalen Hallen during the Zoo tour. Again a great show. The support acts of Athlete and Snow Patrol were OK. But when U2 came, they took care for earthquake with their start with Vertigo, I will Follow and the Electric Co. New years day was a suprise for the 50.000 visitors. We had luck how proffesion adjust was in that song. Bono told about the public there was a discusion about it. The 3: Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet the blue Sky, Miss Sarajevo was the top of the evening to me. Certainly the last one. Bono sings Pavarottis text clear. He articulate the Italian so good, I was able to follow it and sing it. Bono's voice was an supply of Pavarottis part. Following with songs like Unchainged Melody, With or Without you (our most demanding song) and 40. Were songs that my fiance and I were slow dancing. We had a great time. Well german friends, I hope you enjoy the U2 concerts like us. Have a nice time.
Best regards,

Patrick and Soraya
