In den kommenden Tagen und Wochen laufen viele Mitgliedsverträge bei U2.com aus. Die offizielle Seite der Band hat nun damit angefangen, Mitglieder mit auslaufenden Verträgen anzuschreiben und sie mit einen recht interessanten Angebot zur Verlängerung der kostenpflichtigen Mitgliedschaft zu bewegen. So erhält jedes Mitglied die Mitgliedschaft im kommenden Jahr 20% günstiger (also 32 statt 40 Dollar) und zusätzlich noch eine exklusive Doppel-CD mit dem Namen "U2 Communication", die 8 exklusive Livetracks und einem CD-ROM-Part, der u.a. einen Live-Videoclip von der Mailand-Show im Juli dieses Jahres enthält. Damit setzt U2.com die Tradition von Propaganda fort, das die zahlenden Mitglieder ebenfalls mit exklusiven CD-Releases beglückte. Bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass auch alle Fans die CDs zugestellt bekommen, nachdem einige seit rund einem Jahr immer noch auf ihre versprochene Mitgliedskarte warten. Fans, die noch kein Mitglied sind, bekommen die CD natürlich auch, zahlen aber den vollen Betrag von 40 Dollar. Das komplette Schreiben und die Trackliste der Audio-CD:

We will continue to give U2.com subscribers exclusive access to full-length audio and video streams of new U2 songs and performances. Subscribers can keep in touch with other fans via their own U2.com email address and access to the Zootopia boards and regular subscriber emails. There will not be any ticket guarantees as part of the re-subscription package. As we have stated before, the U2.com ticket pre sale for Vertigo 2005 was not what we wanted it to be, and once again we can only apologise for the inconvenience and distress that we know this caused. We continue to look for fair ways in which we can distribute tickets to our fans on future tours but any solution will not be tied to this re-subscription.
